Fortis Druids please post your current spec here along with any commentary on why you chose what you did. There should be only one post per druid with their spec and no posts debating anything. Create new threads for extended discussions or debates of various choices.
These threads were originally utilized to keep track of what roles we were each playing, and make an excellent reference for what does and doesn't work for each individual.

http://www.wowhead.com/?talent=0ZxGGscbzceRc0uAo0Eczb Bear spec! This spec does not take any "Cat" DPS talents, this is a Tanking only spec...you will not be able to do both with this spec! New Rend and Tear talent for added Threat on Maul, Berserk for a quick "break out of Fear" button but can also be used for a huge TPS boost because it takes the cooldown off our Mangle making it spammable for 15 seconds. :o Points in the Resto tree: Far enough in to get Omen of Clarity! Also picks up the new talent Master Shapeshifter for the added physical damage in Bear form ... free TPS boost! -- ![]()

http://www.wowhead.com/?talent=0ZxGMcfrz0eR0IuAo0Eczb (What I would use for) Cat spec! Still 55/16 but! this build focuses in on the talents that improve Cat form abilities. For example, you don't take Thick Hide, because the extra armor is not necessary for a DPS. Most of the talents taken in Feral reduce the energy costs of the Cat abilities which ups your DPS a ton, seeing as you can use these abilities more often. 3 points in Infected Wounds can also act like a Thunderclap if there are no Warriors in your group, I don't think it works on bosses like TC, however. Points in the Resto remain the same, Omen of Clarity for a free swing every so often, and Master Shapeshifter for free crit in Cat Form! EDIT: I actually tried this spec out the other day in a Heroic with FX tanking ... the DPS boost it gives is quite incredible! Over, say, putting on Cat gear and not respeccing, the difference is definitely noticable. -- ![]()

so I think this is what I'll be going to for my new tree/healing spec. I'd like to stay restokin but not sure that's going to be an option.

Has healing touch become pretty good? Just curious, because at first glance I would want to roll out
the extra long, extra speedy regrowths instead with a spec more like this: http://www.worldofwarcraft.com/info/classes/druid/talents.html?tal=05320131000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000023003331203150053105331351

Just curious, because at first glance I would want to roll outthe extra long, extra speedy regrowths instead with a spec more like this: Towards the end of BC, I really liked having HT with the glyph that makes it cheaper/faster/weaker. HOT healing got nerfed pretty hard and downranking was useless, so it was nice to have a spammable heal to help stabilize. I haven't touched my druid in Wrath though. --

with the glpyh and the spec it's a fantastic fast big heal now that hot's aren't a cure all like they used to be. It's under a 1 second cast that's nice for emergency healing and cost wise it's better then spamming a longer regrowth, those lead to more overhealing now then they're worth.

The Glyphed up HT spec seemed haxx pre xpac ... not looking so hawt right now in my opinion ... you got 2 more haxx group heals, lol - Wild Growth and Nourish. The spec you linked looks pretty solid to me Kath ... I can't say a WHOLE lot because I have never Raided as Resto. The extra points in Balance looks perfect to me, I think you could get away with losing Brambles however, to possibly fill up Replenish and Living Seed? Who knows, just my 2c! Like you say, not sure you'll be able to get away with Restokin since you lose amazing stuff in the Resto tree. -- ![]()

I went a different route as far as HT and the Regrowth glyph that speeds it up and cuts it's mana cost. Nourish is a capable "flash heal" on its own right, and costs slightly less mana and heals for slightly more then the glyphed HT. Plus, The 4pc T7 equip provides a 5% additional healing bonus to Nourish for each HoT on the target, So I don't want the HT glyph, leaving it at full strength for emergency NS, and a big heal spam when needed, like on Patchwork, if assigned to heal the OT.
